From what I understand this gun is based off an older 228 model that is long since discontinued. The 226 is a bit longer. The 226 equivalent of this gun is the 226 navy.I do prefer OWB in either a Don Hume H721 pancake (P229SAS) or a Bianchi Mod.83 PaddleLok (P229 SAS or P227 SAS). The Don Hume was made for theP228/229 so the P227 won't fit with the squared trigger guard. The Bianchi was made for the P220/226 and both fit just fine with some room to spare on the muzzle end.Three of my Sigs have standard triggers, one of the 226-40's and the M11-A1 have Short Reset Trigger's.
