Devotion is less cut and dried by their tenets, but the Illithid powers are still definitely themed "evil", and all the dialog actions that you need to take to get access to the powers would definitely be against your Oath. If ...Which means it's essentially like killing an innocent (even if they're definitely not). As an oath of devotion pally, I had to get them to aggro me first in order to fight them and not break my oath, but there should be plenty of dialog options for that. 3.
